HOULTON, Maine (WAGM) - A threat that led Houlton High School to go into secure mode earlier this month has been deemed a prank.
On Thursday, January 18th the school received a threat on Facebook.
Police say they were able to trace the i-p address to figure out who sent the message and a juvenile was arrested at the school...
Tim DeLuca, Houlton police Chief: It was a prank. Those things again are taken seriously but we were able to determine that right off and that young person is being held accountable and we're going to work with him to, probably most importantly to understand the impact it had and behavior modification."
Chief Tim Deluca says charges are pending against the youth involved.
