Hermon Head-On Crash Sends Four to Hospital

HERMON, Maine (WABI) - A head-on crash in Hermon sent four people to the hospital with serious injuries.

State police say about 9:30 a.m. Tuesday the driver of a vehicle heading East on Route 2 crossed the center line.

The car slammed into another vehicle coming in the opposite direction.

A third car involved in the crash had minor damage.

We're told it doesn't look like road conditions played a part.

Police say it appears everyone was wearing a seat belt.

Trooper Steve Morrell says, "There was two people in each vehicle, six people in all. Out of the six people that were involved, like I said, four were transported."

Part of Route 2 was closed for several hours while authorities investigated and reconstructed the crash.
