BANGOR, Maine (WABI) - There's a spectacular light show happening in one Bangor neighborhood this month.
The 6th annual Hathaway Holiday Light Show is taking place every night: December 1st to 16th from 5-9 and December 17th to 26th from 4:30-9:30.
Happy Holidays from Hathaway Holiday Lights!
Saturday's show included a visit from Santa himself. He'll be back on the 16th from 6-8.
Folks can enjoy a light show of more than 37,000 lights, music, and free hot chocolate.
The Hathaway family says this is a great way to give back to their community.
"It's great to look at the kids faces, smiling, dancing along to songs, but really it's to give back to the NICU at Eastern Maine Medical Center," explained homeowner, Rich Hathaway. "Our son Warren and his twin brother Alex were born premature at 29 weeks. Alex passed away early off and Warren spent 51 days there, ya know. We know the doctors and everyone there really well, and it's a way for us to give back."
The light show is free for everyone to see, but donations are accepted.
All the proceeds will benefit Eastern Maine Medical Center's Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
