Greenville Man's Body Recovered From Moosehead Lake

GREENVILLE, Maine (WABI) The Maine Warden Service is investigating the death of a Greenville man whose body was found in Moosehead Lake.

Wardens say 46-year-old Matthew Dubien left a local restaurant on his snowmobile last night but never arrived home.

They found his helmet near Hartford's Point this morning and say his body was not far away in open water.

This is Maine's 6th snowmobiling related fatality this season.

Wardens warn many of Maine's lakes, including Moosehead, have areas of open water that just a few weeks ago were covered in ice.

With snow on the way, authorities say those areas will only become larger and more dangerous.
