AUGUSTA, Maine (WABI) - Governor LePage agreed to extend his emergency proclamation allowing heating oil delivery drivers to stay on roads longer.
He signed an emergency proclamation last week, to enable the granting of a waiver from the US Department of Transportation.
It's with the intent to keep homes and businesses in Maine warm during this stretch of extremely cold weather.
The measure was in effect until friday.
Tuesday, he signed a new proclamation.
This order is in effect until January 14th or until the Governor declares the emergency is over.
