BANGOR, Maine (WABI) Summer is winding down and kids are heading back to school, and so are the college students.
Incoming freshmen moved into their dorms at Husson University today.
Families and friends helped their new Husson student unpack and get settled in.
And, for those students moving away from home for the first time, today was bittersweet.
"I'm really nervous but I think when we came for orientation everybody was super welcoming and I feel that if you had any problems you could talk to anyone here."
"It's really, I think, a bittersweet moment for many parents where they are excited to see their children embarking upon a new phase in their life, but at the same time leaving the nest can always be an emotional time for some parents."
This is the second largest incoming class in Husson University's history.
