Free ME From Lung Cancer to Host Live Auction & Dinner Fundraiser

AUGUSTA, Maine. (WABI) Free ME From Lung Cancer is hosting its annual live auction and dinner fundraiser on Saturday.

They're raising money for lung cancer research and will be providing a German banquet at Le Club Calumet in Augusta.

Tickets are on sale online or you can get them at the door for $40.

That gets you dinner, entertainment and a chance to sit in on the live and silent auctions.

Prizes include getaway and resort packages as well as some impressive sports memorabilia.

"I've got a football signed by Tom Brady. It's a little deflated, seriously, it came a little deflated and I was going to take it over to the high school to have it pumped back up and somebody said 'oh no, leave it that way and we'll talk about it at the event.' I've got a Red Sox baseball signed by Drew Pomeranz," said Debra Violette, President and CEO of Free ME From Lung Cancer.

Secretary of state matthew dunlap will serve as auctioneer.

The organization is also hosting a 5K timed run fundraiser on Sunday, November 5th in Augusta.
