Five Men Face Charges After Calais Shooting

CALAIS, ME (WABI) Five people were arrested after gunshots in Calais.

It happened around 11 last night near the Calais Motor Inn.

Police Chief David Randall says the men arrested are: Marcos Luis Figueroa-Frias, 21, Elmer Frias, 26 Jordan Rodriguez, 24 & Saul Figueroa, 20 all from Bronx, NY and Stephen Perkins, 27 of Baileyville.

A man told police two people shot at him then took off in a car.

He wasn't hurt.

Police say when they tried to stop the car the driver was arrested while trying to take off.

The other four people took off in the car and were chased to Brookton where they were arrested.

All five men are charged with aggravated attempted murder.
