CARMEL, ME (WABI)- Fire damaged a home in Carmel Monday morning.
Crews were called to the Fuller Road a little after 6:30 a.m.
When they arrived, fire fighters could see flames.
A woman was in the home, she made it out safely.
Fire crews say working smoke detectors and closed doors help to contain the fire.
"For the most part, it's just to the kitchen and living room area," said Captain Chandler Corriveau with the Hermon Fire Department. "Fortunately, most of the doors in the home were closed so that limited the smoke damage. That was a big help.">
An investigator from the Fire Marshal's office was there as well, looking for a cause.
