FARMINGTON, Maine (WABI) - A Farmington man was arrested Wednesday night after police say he failed to stop for them.

Around 9:30, police were told about someone driving erratically on the Fairbanks Road in Farmington.

The deputy who tried to stop the car says he saw it turn suddenly into a driveway at a high rate of speed and one of its tires came off the rim.

Police say the driver, 24-year-old Christopher Tracy, got out and ran into the woods, leaving his wife and kids in the car.

A tracking dog helped find Tracy.

He's charged with operating after suspension, endangering the welfare of a child, failing to stop for an officer, and driving to endanger.
