BANGOR, Maine (WABI) Thousands of people are cleaning up after Tropical Storm Harvey hit Texas.
Two American Red Cross volunteers left Bangor last week to help in the effort.
They drove down a disaster relief truck and are currently on feeding duty.
The vehicle carried up to 600 meals, but they say they're still in need of necessities.
"The need is still food because a lot of people, because they're not getting their checks, so they have no money to go buy groceries, and you know they're in the process of cleaning their homes and they've lost everything, so they're trying to do the best they can with the cleanup," says American Red Cross Volunteer, Corina Hamlin.
Hamlin says she doesn't know how long they'll be in Texas, but says they'll stay as long as needed.
