WATERBORO, Maine (WABI) A Dexter man has been charged with his third OUI after being caught by police in York County.

Deputies say they stopped a truck driven by 30-year-old David Barrett in Waterboro because of a noisy exhaust.

They say Barrett got out of the truck and ran into a friend's home nearby, jumping out the window to avoid the police.

Deputies say Barrett appeared intoxicated when they found him hiding in brush behind the house.

Other charges against him include driving after suspension, and refusing to submit to arrest.
