BANGOR, Maine (WABI) Bangor City Chair Joe Baldacci is inviting the community to a free interfaith dinner on Monday, October 9th at 5pm at the Bangor High School cafeteria.
Based on the theme, "Many Faiths, Many Cultures, One Community," the dinner is presented as an opportunity for greater Bangor community members of all cultures and faiths to break bread together and learn more about the Maine Multicultural Center.
Initial sponsoring faith organizations include: Faith Linking in Action, All Souls Congregational Church, Congregation Beth El, Hammond Street Congregational Church, Crosspoint Church of Bangor, Islamic Center of Maine, St. Paul the Apostle Parish, St. John's Episcopal, Redeemer Lutheran Church, Temple of the Feminine Divine, and the Unitarian Universalist Society of Bangor. All faiths are invited to join the Interfaith Dinner-more churches are expected to join by October 9.
The dinner is free to anyone who wants to attend, but tickets are required to attend.
