Chelsea Man to Prison After Dropping Drugs During Police Chase

CHELSEA, Maine (WABI) - A man from Chelsea will spend six years in prison for leading police on a high-speed chase and dropping drugs along the way.

41-year-old Todd Lunt pleaded guilty last month to a string of charges, including having heroin, eluding police and driving with a revoked license.

In October of 2016, police tried to pull Lunt over on Beech Street for speeding, but he took off and nearly hit a woman in the process.

Police say Lunt dropped something out of the car, too, which turned out to be heroin.

Lunt was also convicted of having drugs in 2013.
