ROCKLAND, Maine (WABI) - Folks in Rockland will be celebrating Mardi Gras with pancakes.

Shrove Tuesday marks the day before Ash Wednesday and the season of Lent...the term is more commonly seen in England.

Shrove Tuesday has been a tradition at St. Peter's Episcopal Church for more than half a century.

From 11 until 1 tomorrow, the parish will serve up pancakes with maple syrup and sausage. There will also be other goodies served.

Everyone is invited to the lunch. Tickets are $8 for adults and $4 for kids.
