CT Woman Admits to Robbing Two Bangor Businesses with Husband

BANGOR, Maine (WABI) - A woman from Connecticut accused of robbing two Bangor business in two days with her husband has pleaded guilty.

30-year-old Cara Blewitt appeared Wednesday in federal court in Bangor.

She admitted she was the getaway driver for her husband, 29-year-old Seth Blewitt.

Police say in May, Seth Blewitt walked into TD Bank on Stillwater Avenue and demanded money.

Court documents say Cara Blewitt used to work for the bank's branch in Connecticut.

The next day, Memorial Day, the two are accused of robbing the Dollar Tree store down the street.

Court documents say this time Seth Blewitt threatened employees with a sawed-off shotgun, while his wife waited in the car.

An officer spotted their car later that day and arrested them.

Seth Blewitt's case is still pending.

He's due in court next month.
