Blue Hill Man Indicted for String of Crimes in Hancock County

BLUE HILL, Maine (WABI) - A Blue Hill man accused of an armed robbery at a Brewer Motel has been formally charged with a string of crimes in Hancock County.

49-year-old Anthony Yurchick was indicted by a grand jury Thursday for thefts in Blue Hill, Brooklin and Brooksville.

The cases date back to last fall, with the most recent theft in April.

Yurchick was arrested in Brewer in January.

Police say he went to the Brewer Motor Inn with a gun and demanded money.

He was indicted in Penobscot County this spring for robbery, theft and possession of a firearm by a felon.
