Bangor's Festival Of Lights Parade Set For Saturday

BANGOR, Maine (WABI) - The annual Bangor Rotary Festival Of Lights parade will make its way through downtown Bangor Saturday.

It steps off at 4:30 on Exchange Street, following Harlow Street to Central Street and then up Main Street.

The theme this year is "Holiday Memories" and will feature floats, performing groups, and lots of lights.

Folks from Eastern Maine Medical Center were finishing their final touches on their float Friday.

And, they have some new additions this year.

"This year we decided to actually feature these window paintings on our float, so we are actually going to live paint some windows on our float. We'll see how this goes because it could be really interesting with the float moving, but we have a couple of paintings that have been done, and then a couple more we are going to finish during the parade," said Kris Currier, Communication Specialist for Eastern Maine Medical Center.

TV5's Jon Small and Taylor Kinzler will emcee the show.

Of course Santa will be there.

If you want to see him earlier in the day, his workshop will be set up at 58 Main Street from 1 to 4.
