Bangor Jury Returns Guilty Verdict in NY Man's Murder Trial

BANGOR, Maine (WABI) - A man from New York accused of a deadly shooting in Bangor has been found guilty of murder.

29-year-old Robert Hansley was on trial for the death of 38-year-old Robert Kennedy.

He was killed in an apartment on Center Street two years ago.

Prosecutors told the jury Hansley and another man, Thomas Ferguson, worked together to commit the crime.

Ferguson was found guilty of murder in June as accomplice to the killing.

They say that both men were involved, but it was Hansley who pulled the trigger.

The defense claimed Hansley was simply with the wrong person at the wrong time and that it was Ferguson who shot and killed Kennedy.

Hansley faces 25 years to life in prison.
