BANGOR, Maine (WABI) - The storm is also impacting those who are traveling by air.

This was the scene at the Bangor International Airport Saturday afternoon.

The snow, sleet, and freezing rain affected air traffic for those traveling into Bangor from Philadelphia and New Jersey.

Most arrivals and departures today weRE not affected, but folk are asked to check their airline ahead of time in case of delays or cancellations.

We caught up with one flyer who was waiting for a friend due to a delayed flight.

"We had a friend actually who was due to come from Philly and their flight was cancelled earlier, so I thought I was pretty lucky to get in on time," said Andrew Chang who flew in from New York.

Airport officials say it's always best to arrive at least two hours early to ensure that you get through security on time.
