Bangor Humane Society Holds 4th Round of Puppy Adoptions

BANGOR, Maine (WABI) Tuesday was another big adoption day at the Bangor Humane Society.

Nearly 30 dogs were looking for forever homes.

This is the 4th time dogs from southern kill shelters have been sent to Maine for adoption.

Several puppies and adult dogs have come to Maine from Georgia and Mississippi.

People were lined up early.

One boy was the first in line to get his first puppy.

Silas Keefe says, "Her name is Delilah. I might change it to Max, I don't really know yet. She is a black mouth cur. She's really cute. She looks so much cuter in real life than in the picture. As soon as I picked her up, she just started licking me."

Folks at the Human Society says they should have another adoption the week of Labor Day.
