BREWER, Maine (WABI) - The Bangor Area Homeless Shelter held their annual meeting Tuesday evening.
It was held at the Eagles Club in Brewer.
The shelter is required to hold an event like this once a year to have their board members on hand as a sort of a state of the union.
Executive Director Boyd Kronholm said that there were many positive things that happened for the shelter this year, but a great deal of work remains.
"Past year there was some statistics that were put out that said homelessness was going down, but we are not really experiencing that," he said, "We did serve fewer people but they stayed longer. We actually housed more people. So, I think we are on the right track."
The evening included dinner and a recap of some of the shelters big events like the Hike for the Homeless and their Annual Vigil.
