Andrew Balcer Pleads Not Guilty To Murdering His Parents

WINSLOW, Maine (WABI) A Winthrop teenager charged with killing his parents last year has pleaded not guilty.

In November, a judge ruled 19-year-old Andrew Balcer will be tried as an adult.

During that hearing, 9-1-1 tapes were played where Balcer was heard telling police he stabbed his parents to death as well as the family's dog.

He was seventeen at the time.

Balcer is charged with two counts of murder and aggravated cruelty to animals.

We're told his trial is scheduled for November.
